Starbucks new ‘Brewery Blocks’
store is pleased to host December’s Green Hour. Come network, enjoy
delicious appetizers and holiday treats, and see how this innovative Starbucks
location – built entirely to LEED specifications – has put sustainable
practices into action. This Starbucks store is also the first in Portland to
offer elevated food pairings, along with wine and beer.
The Brewery Blocks store is the
next evolution of Starbucks ‘artisan’ design concept, echoing the industrial
past of urban markets, and taking inspiration from the Modernism of the 1930s.
The interior celebrates the use of simple materials like exposed steel beams,
factory casement glass, hand-polished woodwork, and a wall panel art
installation created using salvaged bike tubes. The store brings customers
together in a creative gathering place for culture, arts and hosting
locally-relevant events.
See, learn and grow at the next
Green Hour.
Green Hour events will take
place on a quarterly basis. If your business would like to showcase its
sustainable practices through a Green Hour event, please contact Christine
Gatlin, membership events manager, at cgatlin@portlandalliance.com, or 503-552-6742.
