Lunch with Leaders: Bonneville Power Administration Steve Wright
November’s Lunch with Leaders is an exclusive opportunity to
hear from Bonneville Power Administration Administrator and Chief Executive
Officer, Steve Wright, who has plans to retire at the end of January. Steve
Wright has been with BPA since 1981 and its leader since 2002; he holds the
second longest tenure of any administrator. His tenure has spanned some of the
region’s greatest energy challenges including developing power contracts that
preserve the value of the federal hydropower system, the Endangered Species Act
litigation, wind energy as an alternative energy resource, the proposal and
planning of new transmission lines, the development and execution of Smart Grid,
among more.
Bonneville Power Administration controls three quarters of the
region’s transmission network, so its operations, policies and strategic
direction impact every utility, and power consumer, in the region. Come to Lunch
with Leaders to hear from Bonneville Power Administration’s current leader
about what’s in store for Oregon’s energy future.
